HEAL Italia at the Italy–Canada Forum on Artificial Intelligence: Bringing the Network’s Precision Medicine Proposals to Montréal

From 16 to 18 November 2026, the HEAL Italia Foundation will be in Montréal to participate in the 8th Italy–Canada Forum on Artificial Intelligence. Ahead of the event, the Foundation invites the Hub’s partners to submit projects, technologies, research findings and innovative solutions for which they wish to explore opportunities for collaboration and development with Canadian stakeholders, particularly in Québec.

Organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, this year’s Forum will focus on the theme “From Lab to Market. From Market to Citizen”. The three-day event will explore the process of translating research findings into market-ready solutions and their application in citizen-focused services, examining the expertise, synergies and partnerships needed to facilitate this transition.

HEAL Italia’s participation forms part of its coordination activities within the IMPACT Technology Hub for AI Prediction and Innovative Medicines (Innovation in Medicine for PersonAlized Care and Therapies), which supports research centres, companies, start-ups and spin-offs in Southern Italy in developing artificial intelligence-based solutions for precision medicine.

In line with the HEAL Italia 2036 White Paper – The National Strategy for Predictive and Precision Medicine, the Foundation aims to foster new international partnerships by identifying clinical partners for the validation of innovative solutions across different diseases, companies interested in the joint development of new healthcare technologies, and research groups with which to develop collaborative project proposals under the Horizon Europe programme.

Programme of Activities

16 November – Institutional and Scientific Visits and Meetings

The day will be dedicated to visits and meetings with Canadian organisations and stakeholders, to be arranged according to the interests and project proposals submitted by the Hub’s partners, as well as the availability of local counterparts.

17 November – Forum Plenary Sessions

The HEAL Italia Foundation will participate in the plenary sessions at the Centre Mont-Royal in Montréal, as part of the official programme of the 8th Italy–Canada Forum.

18 November – AI & Digital Solutions for Healthy Communities Working Group

The Foundation will contribute to the activities of the working group dedicated to artificial intelligence and digital solutions for healthier communities. Healthcare organisations, researchers and companies from Italy and Canada will work together to identify potential pilot projects in the fields of prevention, healthy ageing and digital applications supporting community-based services.

The Foundation invites all Hub partners to submit projects, technologies, research findings and initiatives, whether already underway or currently in development, that could benefit from new opportunities for collaboration, validation and technology transfer within the Canadian ecosystem.

The contributions received may be presented and promoted during the Forum’s meetings and activities, facilitating dialogue and potential cooperation with Canadian clinical, scientific and industrial partners.
