Internazionalization
The HEAL Italia Foundation operates within an international framework to contribute to the development and positioning of the Italian precision medicine and health biotechnology sector within the leading global life sciences ecosystems.
Objectives
Precision medicine currently represents one of the main drivers of innovation in advanced healthcare systems. Its development requires the creation of integrated strategic value chains encompassing genomics, clinical data, artificial intelligence, technological infrastructures, and industrial transfer capabilities. In this context, international cooperation is an essential element to accelerate research, foster innovation, and enhance the value of scientific results.
Within this framework, the HEAL Italia Foundation promotes scientific, technological, and industrial collaborations among universities, research institutions, IRCCS, healthcare organizations, and companies, with a dual objective: to support Italian partners in developing initiatives in international markets, and to attract foreign stakeholders interested in collaborating, investing, or establishing activities in Italy and across Europe.
Through a network involving more than 70 entities, including universities, research centers, clinical institutions, and companies, and through international activities across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia, the Foundation operates as a platform connecting research, industry, and the healthcare system, thereby contributing to strengthening the international competitiveness of the Italian precision medicine ecosystem.

Strategic Value Chains
The mapping of facilities and technologies within the HEAL Italia ecosystem, integrated with comparative analyses of the main international precision medicine markets, has made it possible to identify the value chains with the greatest scientific, industrial, and commercial potential. These value chains constitute the strategic reference framework for guiding the Foundation’s international activities, scientific partnerships, and industrial development initiatives.

HEAL Italia Incubator: Facilities, services and Infrastructures
The facilities, services and infrastructures of HEAL Italia represent the Foundation’s principal added value. They derive from the integration of the resources of all partner entities, thereby configuring an integrated ecosystem of extraordinary relevance in terms of the breadth, quality and variety of infrastructures, expertise and, above all, the critical mass of available data.
In this sense, the Foundation stands out as the only entity at national level capable of aggregating and networking such an extensive body of assets, able to interface in a structured manner with the thematic and scientific networks that have been established. The result is a shared infrastructure that constitutes a strategic asset of inestimable value, organised to support and accelerate scientific and technological advancement in the field of precision medicine on an international scale.
