HEAL Italia Academy

The Academy is the structured and innovative training program dedicated to precision medicine in the hospital and biomedical fields, within the framework of the PNRR funded by the European Union (NextGenerationEU).

Description and Objectives

The Academy was created with the aim of guiding healthcare professionals, researchers, health managers, and students along a progressive pathway that integrates scientific knowledge, clinical applications, and transversal skills related to technological innovation.

A true Accelerator Center for Precision Medicine: a training space where leading experts from around the world guide healthcare system professionals, researchers, and health operators in understanding and applying scientific and technological innovation.
Not a collection of courses, but a structured pathway that integrates precision medicine, artificial intelligence, clinical practice, research, and governance skills, while leveraging a broad and multidisciplinary scientific network, advanced research infrastructures, and national and international collaborations.

A distinctive feature of the Academy is the strong connection between the academic, clinical, and industrial worlds, with an approach oriented toward applied research and the real needs of the healthcare system, from not only a national but also an international perspective, thanks to the involvement of foreign universities and centers of excellence.

HEAL Italia Open Science Lab

The Foundation develops laboratories and programs dedicated to the education of citizens, teachers, and students from primary and secondary schools in the target Regions.
This initiative was created to bring science beyond traditional laboratories and to engage younger generations with the themes of precision medicine, artificial intelligence, and biomedical research.

Through an immersive approach that integrates medicine, AI, and research, the Open Science Lab makes it possible to explore simulated scientific environments, observe biological processes, and understand how the experiments underlying current research are developed. The experience also makes complex concepts related to data use and the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare more accessible, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and interest in STEM pathways.

The itinerant nature of the Open Science Lab promotes broad access to scientific culture, involving schools and educational communities across different regions and strengthening the connection between research, education, and society.
