Governing Innovation in Healthcare: Sustainability of the National Health Service, Digital Pathology for Precision Medicine

On February 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Giglio Hospital in Cefalù, the HEAL Italia Foundation is promoting an in-depth meeting addressed to executives and department directors, both administrative and clinical, as well as specialists in radiology, diagnostic imaging, pathology, oncology, laboratory medicine, and surgery.

The initiative aims to provide a strategic perspective on the current challenges facing the National Health Service, with particular attention to the sustainability of the system, the government’s new healthcare reform framework, and the opportunities offered by digital health, the Electronic Health Record, and investments envisaged under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).

A central focus will be devoted to Digital Pathology and Precision Medicine, now key drivers in the evolution of diagnostic and clinical models and in advancing a healthcare system that is increasingly personalized, integrated, and data-driven. The meeting is conceived as a high-level forum for dialogue among decision-makers, professionals, and the research community, with the aim of supporting ongoing transformation and strengthening the healthcare system’s capacity to respond effectively and sustainably to health needs.
