HEAL Italia takes center stage at the General Assembly of Medical-Scientific Research

From October 14 to 16, 2025, the General States of Medical and Scientific Research will be held in Rome, promoted by the Ministry of University and Research and the Ministry of Health, with the patronage of the European Commission.
The initiative, which sees the participation of leading Italian institutions and representatives from the scientific, academic, and industrial worlds, aims to outline a shared vision for the future of biomedical research in Italy and define the priorities of the next White Paper on Medical and Scientific Research.

In this context of strategic discussion, HEAL Italia will be among the keynote speakers on the final day, Wednesday, October 16, in the session dedicated to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP): opportunities and sustainability.
Heal Italia Foundation President Massimo Midiri will speak alongside leaders of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, the Ministry of Health, and the extended partnerships INF-ACT and Age-It, to discuss the role of research networks in strengthening the Italian healthcare innovation ecosystem.

Moderated by Barbara Gobbi (Il Sole 24 Ore), the panel will analyze how PNRR resources can consolidate an integrated supply chain between research, technology transfer, and business, while promoting the sustainability of long-term projects.

HEAL Italia’s presence at the States General confirms the Foundation’s central role in the national biomedical research system and its mission to promote precision medicine, the use of clinical data, and the integration of digital technologies for health.
This contribution is fully in line with the spirit of the States General: creating synergies between universities, IRCCS, public institutions, and biotech companies to make Italian research increasingly competitive and focused on social impact.
