Missions CINA
Mission April 2026
Collaboration with China will continue through the institutional mission of 23–24 April 2026, organised with CDDpress/Springer Nature and Soochow University, to be held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.
The mission includes the 10th International CDDisease Conference in China – Precision Medicine Symposium, scheduled for 23–24 April: a meeting established with the aim of fostering the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices among experts, researchers and institutions from the two countries, promoting strategic synergies in the fields of genomics, artificial intelligence applied to medicine and personalised therapies.
The event will be attended by members of the HEAL Italia Foundation: Prof. M. Dominici, S. Giglio, G. Melino, A. Perra, G. Stassi, and the Foundation’s Vice President, Prof. Mauro Piacentini.

During the mission, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed with The Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University to consolidate joint research programmes, researcher exchanges, and scientific and industrial collaborations, as well as with Tianjin Medical University General Hospital and Capital Medical University, both located in Beijing, for the exchange of best practices in precision medicine and the development of joint activities.
These initiatives further strengthen HEAL Italia’s role as a national and international hub for precision medicine, and as a gateway for foreign investment, with the sole objective of advancing significant progress in precision medicine through engagement with the most innovative technologies developed at the global level.
Missions 2025
The HEAL Italia Foundation has developed a strategic collaboration programme with China, aimed at strengthening research, scientific exchange, and the development of innovative technologies in precision medicine.
The activities began with the mission to the International Conference on Translational Medicine in Kunming in August 2025, where Professors Gennaro Melino and Mauro Piacentini participated as speakers. Thanks to their well-established contacts with Chinese universities and research centres, they initiated relationships for future scientific and industrial collaborations with the Foundation.
In December 2025, Prof. Yufang Shi, President of Wuxi Sinotide New Drug Discovery Institutes and professor at Soochow University, was hosted by the Foundation in Rome, where opportunities for joint research were explored in greater depth and operational arrangements were defined for the development of investments in Italy. At the same time, his company joined the HEAL Italia Foundation, becoming its first foreign partner, with the objective of developing new innovative technologies in Italy, in particular cell therapies for the treatment of diabetic foot.
