The HEAL Italia Foundation will participate in the BIO International Convention 2026, scheduled to take place in San Diego from June 22 to 25 at the San Diego Convention Center. It is the world’s leading event dedicated to biotechnology, with over 20,000 participants, thousands of B2B meetings, and an international presence spanning more than 70 countries. For HEAL Italia, this marks its second consecutive participation.
Among the excellence selected within the Italian ICE collective for attracting foreign investment
The collective is organized within the framework of the activities of the “Working Group for the Internationalization of the Biotechnology Sector” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the ICE Agency, with the support of Farmindustria. HEAL Italia has been selected among the 12 entities admitted to take part: institutional bodies and representative organizations of the Italian life sciences system, tasked with promoting the country as an investment destination in the biotech sector and precision medicine.
From Boston to San Diego: a journey delivering tangible results
Participation in the BIO International Convention 2025 in Boston marked HEAL Italia’s first official entry into the international biotech ecosystem. That experience did not remain an isolated event: the relationships established led to the inclusion of new international partners within the Foundation’s ecosystem, who are now actively collaborating with the Italian precision medicine network. These are entities investing in Italy, contributing to the growth of the system’s scientific and technological value, while also generating tangible outcomes in terms of development and employment opportunities.
San Diego represents the next step in this journey: strengthening existing relationships, building new ones, and continuing to promote HEAL Italia as a strategic gateway to the Italian precision medicine value chain—a multidisciplinary network of over 70 institutions, including universities, IRCCS, hospitals, and companies, with more than 600 researchers active in oncology, rare diseases, cardiovascular, and metabolic conditions.
